It’s just good manners. Leaving a “biodegradable” pet waste bag on a trail for others to discover is not. Thanks for your help in keeping our trails beautiful.
Spring Bird Trip
Bring your binoculars and join us on Saturday morning to greet the spring migrants returning to Mink Brook. Meet at the parking area near the electric substation off Route 10 just south of downtown Hanover at 6:30 am. We will visit the protected lands along the brook both east and west. We may catch a glimpse of the black bear and her three cubs.
Log Drives on the Connecticut – April 23
Join us at the Howe Library on Wednesday to hear about the river pageants of old!
Spring is (really!) here…
… because our Spring Trip cards are here, with a full menu of indoor programs and outdoor adventures. And – the Mink Brook bear is out of her den with three cubs. Visit her on our Facebook page. Take in your birdfeeders, secure your trash, and leash your dog when at the Mink Brook Nature Preserve.
Apple Tree Pruning Workshop March 22
It’s time to get into a gardening frame of mind. Join us on Saturday to learn the fine points of apple tree pruning and help rejuvenate the old orchard at Balch Hill. MORE.
Our spring trip cards will soon be on their way to current Conservancy members. If you’re not already a member, we invite you to join us.
