The Hanover Select Board held a public hearing on April 1 to consider this Moose Mountain parcel. The Hanover Conservancy has submitted a letter of opinion to the Select Board. MORE
Our 2013 Winter Trip season is now complete. We visited the Trescott Water Company Lands, Tunis Brook watershed, the DOC Cabin on Moose Mountain, Morton Farm, Lord’s Hill, and Slade Brook. Spring trips are being planned – become a member to receive an announcement.
Other news: Mud Season has postponed the Hanover Select Board’s March 25 meeting on the Dana Pasture Lot to April 1.
Thursday, February 28 – Naturalist Ted Levin will reflect on the extraordinary legacy of Rachel Carson.
Those concerned about the future of the Dana Pasture Lot on Moose Mountain should attend the public meeting at the Hanover Town Office on Monday, January 28, 7:30pm. Biologists from Watershed to Wildlife, Inc. will present their findings from their study of this property’s wildlife and other natural resources. Their draft report and maps are posted HERE.
We held our spring celebration at the Dartmouth Outing Club House on Occom Pond. It was a fun celebration of our accomplishments in land conservation. We also had the opportunity to honor our dedicated volunteers, and share our vision for the future.
