Thanks to those who reported downed trees and limbs courtesy of Hurricane Sandy. We have two trees down across the trails at each of the following natural areas: Greensboro Ridge, Balch Hill Natural Area, and Mink Brook. Our volunteers will be heading out to clear these obstructions and hazards as soon as possible. If you’d like to help, please contact us.
Find the Town Forest: Bike & Hike Oct. 27
The final trip of our Fall, 2012 series is coming up this Saturday, October 27. We’ll explore another corner of hidden Hanover with the Upper Valley Mountain Biking Association, touring new trails under development in the Town Forest.

Explore Historic Cory Road
Our next outdoor adventure is coming up on Saturday, October 6. We’ll explore the route of one of Hanover’s earliest roads on a jaunt co-sponsored with the Hanover Historical Society. Rain or shine, 1-3pm. More
Secrets of Greensboro Ridge
The next hike in our “Hidden Hanover” series is coming up this Saturday at Greensboro Ridge from 10am to noon, rain or shine. Hike our new Greensboro Highlands Trail and visit hidden grottoes off-trail. Families welcome. More
Quinn Trail help needed
The Quinn Trail at the Mink Brook Nature Preserve is well-used and loved. Help us spread a load of wood chips on the trail to improve the path surface – Wednesday, August 22, 5;15pm. Bring a rake or shovel, and meet at the Brook Road gate.
