Thinking on a landscape scale is key when considering wide ranging wildlife, biodiversity, ecosystem services, carbon sequestration, and climate resilience. Regional and local GIS maps help us examine forest connections to inform
place-based education, conservation efforts, land use planning, and zoning decisions.
